History

In 1962, the Quebec Foreign Mission Society (SME) opens a house in Chile. There, it gets involved in parish ministry as well as in accompanying seasonal workers. It works with the habitants of the working-class districts of the capital and certain indigenous people of the country (the Mapuche).

Along the time, lay people joined missionary priests. So, the team grew to meet the needs of its mission in several parts of the country.
