« Sweep me along with you, and let us run! Let us be happy and joyful, thanks to you. »
What does this excerpt of the poem Song of songs in Bible reveal?
Well, it reminds you that you are looking for happiness, and that your journey must begin with a cry of distress addressed to God.
It is not the SME that says so, but the Bible! God alone brings to absolute happiness, and he leads to it all those who turn to him!
The jungle that you see (above) in the meditation picture represents the one in which perhaps you find yourself at the moment at the spiritual level; a clump of brushwood, a den of vipers, from which you would wish to be freed. Maybe you have thought or tried to get away from it with all sorts of «solutions».
But then, those «solutions» turn out to be short-lived and in many cases, dangerous. Your despair became worse.
In that case, what prevents you to call on God’s help? Anything for you to loose ?
Take into your consideration the biblical passage which is proposed to you in this first step of your journey towards Happiness and shout to Heaven your need to be rescued: Lord, sweep me along with you, and let us run! Let us be happy and joyful, thanks to you!
Have trust, He is listening to you!
You could also make use of that other prayer found in the Bible (Psalm 88/87):
« Lord, God of my salvation, when I cry..., let my prayer come to you, incline your ear to my cry ».
Remain in that state of meditation the whole day, repeating one of those prayers… When you are ready to go on with your itinerary, in one day or two, go to step 2, see menu bar (above).
