Virtual meeting of young people from Latin America

At one hundred days from the official opening of the celebrations of the Centennial (February 02, 2021) and with the closing of the missionary month of October, a virtual meeting of the youth of Latin America took place. More than sixty persons met about various digital platforms to reflect, pray, celebrate and share the gift of the missionary vocation.  
 
With the theme, At the service of the Gospel since my youth, young people from Honduras, Costa Rica, Peru, Brazil, Columbia, Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, El Salvador and Venezuela met together. With them, a large number of missionaries of the SME and people in charge of the animation of Latin America and of Asia were present.
 
The local Group of Peru was the host, in charge of coordinating and promoting the dynamics of the meeting. We thank all of them for their gentleness and the efforts deployed, in a special way the missionaries Jennifer Cintrón (Porto Rico) and Priscila Barredo (Mexico). Really, those were two unbelievable after-noon full of testimonies, of missionary formation and much youthful joy that we hope will be repeated in a near future.
 
An important fact to be added is he virtual meeting of the youth was organized and directed by the youth themselves. All our gratitude for their energy and their enthusiasm.
 
During the closing Eucharist, we were invoking the intercession of the Beatified Carlo Acutis to whom, with saint Teresa and saint Francis Xavier ,we confided all those efforts at the Missionary Animation of the SME.
